About me…

I ’m Maria, a therapist, coach, and founder of Psychoenergetic Work®, an integrative mind-body-energy approach to healing and self-realisation.

I’ve always been drawn to exploring life, relationships, and the deeper layers of self. From a young age, my curiosity and passion for understanding human experience have guided me to learn, reflect, and practice tools that enhance emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and meaningful connection.

My journey began with spiritual exploration and working through deep family dynamics and trauma. Over time, I discovered psychological and embodied approaches, learning to reconnect with my true self. This ongoing path informs every aspect of my work with clients today.

Before stepping fully into therapy, I lived a vibrant life as an artist. Singing from the age of five and writing and producing original songs by fifteen, music became my first language of emotional expression and soul connection. I had the privilege of collaborating with international artists and appeared on major television shows. My work was featured in numerous magazines and radio stations, and I proudly released two albums. Performing on stages like the legendary Rock Café remains a cherished memory.

Alongside music, I nurtured a love for painting, particularly soul art, intuitive works that channel inner messages for self-discovery and healing. Though less frequent now, soul painting continues to be part of my creative path and will return to my practice.

My Path & Lived Experience

Growing up, I often felt “different” and struggled to be understood. Childhood challenges, including bullying and navigating complex family dynamics, shaped my understanding of resilience, emotional wounds, and the importance of genuine support.

Significant life experiences, moving to a new country, losing loved ones, becoming a parent, and navigating relationships, have deepened my understanding of healing, responsibility, and growth. Through these experiences, I learned radical acceptance, self-responsibility, and the value of supportive, authentic guidance.

I don’t just teach what I’ve learned, I walk the path myself. My clients are my greatest teachers, and I feel honoured to accompany them on their journeys. I bring empathy, lived experience, and relational presence into the therapy space, creating a container where clients feel seen, understood, and supported as they explore, grow, and transform.

Philosophy & Approach

At the heart of my work is the belief that the self does not need fixing but guidance, we are already whole. Life inevitably leaves behind layers of clutter and old wounds, and healing is about rediscovering who we truly are beneath them. By reconnecting with ourselves, we also contribute to the collective, serving our communities and living in alignment with deeper purpose.

I see the healing process as an educational, embodied journey:

  • Cultivating authenticity, resilience, and conscious choice

  • Reconnecting with values and purpose, not the ego

  • Developing clarity, groundedness, and inner safety

  • Encouraging balance over the pursuit of happiness, as happiness naturally emerges when we live in alignment with our true selves.

Every session is a safe space to explore, practice, and integrate change, reclaiming parts of yourself that may have been overlooked, and learning to live more fully and freely.

"Growth arises in authentic presence and awareness, in the courage to face what lies beneath without distractions, and align with the guidance of the soul, only then the true self emerge naturally."

Deepening the Path

My learning deepened through the guidance of my teachers, Bernard Rouch and Carla Sbardella, who introduced me to Egyptian–Essene Therapies and Aura Reading. Their teachings helped me see myself more clearly and awakened a profound sense of spiritual awareness and inner understanding.

Since 2014, I’ve run workshops to provide educational and healing tools that complement individual journeys. Together with my partner, I lead Authentic Relating Experience (ARE) workshops in Brighton and London, creating spaces for authentic, meaningful connection.

Professionally, I’ve worked closely with neurodiverse children, particularly those with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), in Steiner and mainstream schools. Using creative, mindful interventions, I support emotional regulation, self-expression, and relational growth.

My formal training began in 2005, and I remain committed to ongoing learning, continually exploring new ways to enhance self-understanding, emotional resilience, and relational skills.
